LONDON and NORCROSS, Ga., Sept. 27—The United Kingdom's National Health Service (NHS) has awarded the medical device innovation and medical product distribution company MediPurpose™ with a two-year renewal of a contract to continue providing their SurgiLance® Safety Lancets.
The contract renewal covers the period from October 2007 through September 2009.
The NHS Supply Chain currently provides approximately 600 hospitals in England with a dedicated end-to-end supply chain service. Through logistics, procurement and customer support services, the NHS Supply Chain will help the hospitals it serves to realize nearly £1 billion in combined savings over the next 10 years.
