NORCROSS, Ga., Jan. 4—SurgiLance Inc., the Atlanta-based sales, marketing and distribution subsidiary of SurgiLance Pte Ltd, Singapore, announced today that Hugh Cooper has been named chairman of SurgiLance Inc., effective January 1, 2005.

Cooper has managed SurgiLance Inc. since its inception in 2000. He has overseen the company's growth from its first dollar to the more than $10 million dollars in sales that the company achieved in its first three years.

"Hugh assisted us in growing the company from an unknown foreign entity to a market leader in four years and has contributed to the strong foundation upon which a new team can expand," said group CEO Patrick Yi.

Patrick Yi to Take Helm as President and CEO

Effective January 1, 2005, Patrick Yi became the president and CEO of SurgiLance Inc. Yi is responsible for the company's U.S. operations and remains the group CEO for SurgiLance, which now has operations in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

To facilitate this change, Yi will be relocating from Singapore to join the staff at its new U.S. headquarters in Norcross, Georgia by mid-January 2005.
