ST. LOUIS and NORCROSS, Ga., Oct. 17—SurgiLance Inc., the Atlanta-based sales, marketing and distribution subsidiary of SurgiLance Pte Ltd, Singapore, announced today that effective October 1, 2005, the company began supplying its SurgiLance™ One-Step Safety Lancets to members of the Amerinet Inc. group purchasing organization.
The three-year contract applies to all five safety lancet models in the product's line.
Amerinet is one of the leading medical product GPOs in the United States, partners with members to improve their operating margins. Amerinet leads the industry in flexibility, with a commitment to providing supplier choice for its members.
Amerinet's national network of companies (Amerinet Central, Intermountain Health Care and Vector) is comprised of more than 1,900 hospitals and 22,300 non-acute care facilities.
"SurgiLance, Inc. is very happy to be signing a contract with Amerinet," said SurgiLance Vice President of Sales and Market Alan Wells. "Amerinet members are known for supporting group contracts and are very loyal to the manufacturers that work closely with them.
Members will be receiving a letter of introduction and a product sample this month as an orientation to the company and the SurgiLance™ One-Step Safety Lancet.
SurgiLance will support the contract with the efforts of their nationwide sales force as well as with combined telemarketing and direct mail activities.
